Hand of Man Studio: Borosilicate Art Glass Since 2005
Welcome! Hand of Man glass was started in 2005 by Jeremiah Kern, who got his beginnings as a distributor for local artists in Colorado. Since then, he has worked with multiple accomplished artists and won numerous awards for his glassblowing skills. His most recent work has been done with the boro crucible, which he has been focusing on along with his apprenticeship program. His most recent flameworked functional art line is pictured here, and these little glass creatures are planned for public release at a gallery opening in Denver later on in 2016. About the Artist
Jeremiah got his beginning in glass in 2004 in North Boulder as a glass distributor for local artists. In the summer of 2005, Jeremiah took an apprenticeship from the artist whose art he'd been distributing. Since that time, Jeremiah's love of glass has expanded exponentially, and his desire to further his glass career has been a success so far, with no end in sight. In the 10+ years he has been working borosilicate glass, he has been blessed with many opportunities to advance himself as a student of glass. He has worked with multiple accomplished glass artists, traveled to glass events and competed in flame-offs nationwide. He has taught over a dozen artists since he began, many of whom have started their own successful glass careers. He will never consider himself a master, as there is always a new lesson to be learned from the glass, and other students of the art.
